In addition to integrating machine learning
and Git with IBM i, Sarnelli develops mobile
and web apps that fully integrate with the
IBM i platform.

intelligence (AI), such as the
story of how Google's AI beat
the world champion of the
game GO, got Frank Sarnelli,
associate presales consultant
at LANSA, interested in the
advanced technologies. Seeing what companies are doing with robots also
convinced him to dive into machine learning.
Sarnelli is now integrating machine learning into his company's e-commerce solution
to automatically search products via images
and extract keywords from images using IBM
Watson* technology. This helps clients search
and find products faster than using the traditional method of tracking them down by their
SKU or model number.
"After you pick a product, machine learning
can find other products that people bought
along with the item that was just added to your
cart. That's valuable information," he says.
"Over the next three years with machine learning, we're looking at the start of self-driving
cars, drone deliveries, medical breakthroughs-
processing protein data is not easy-and
increased security such as helping police find
criminal patterns quickly."

auxiliary storage pools (IASPs) with external
storage," he says. "I also ran comparisons to
make sure system values, attributes, and objects
were the same between the two old partitions,
the two new partitions, and the two new partitions for FlashCopy* backup."
He says two big wins resulted from the migration. First, all data from the two partitions is
now replicated to partitions at the recovery site
