Codify Academy has recently seen an
uptick in enrollment rates as they have utilized the cognitive services of IBM Cloud*.
The San Francisco-based educational institution has created an interactive cognitive
chatbot named Bobbot that utilizes the IBM
Watson* Conversation Service. Bobbot fields
questions from current and prospective students, and can answer more than 200 common
questions about the college. It answers questions relating to tuition, course and program
details, prerequisites and enrollment, which
allows Codify Academy staff to focus on deeper
questions and engage in more meaningful
exchanges. Overall, Bobbot has led to a 10 percent increase in converting visitors to students.
Recently, IBM Security launched two new security testing practice areas centered on automotive security and the
Internet of Things. Automotive security is an area of particular concern, though, as automobiles equipped with
data connectivity, either through a tether to a mobile device or by a built-in communications module, is predicted
to reach 61 million by 2020. IBM X-Force Red worked alongside more than a dozen automotive manufactures and
third-party automotive suppliers in an effort to gain expertise. These collaborations will help shape and share industry best practices in relation to automotive security.
